For the Star Wars lego-maniac
My son saved his allowance and earnigns for half a year to get this but I have to state its one of the best in the lego star-wars line. It is fairly advanced design so I would not recommend it for novice lego users but he was absorbed for two solid days putting it together. (Most parents would like that part best ) After completing it because it comes with more of the actual action figures than most kits he has gotten weeks and weeks of play time having battles across his bedroom floor. So overall though pricey I would give it a thumbs up if you have a lego-maniac in your house too.

BETTER THAN AVERAGE
We bought this for my 8 yr. old son who is Lego crazy. He enjoyed putting it together and it stays together better than most of the other Star Wars Lego sets. It took him three afternoons after school to put it together and he is still playing with it and it hasn’t fallen apart. Some of the others fall apart pretty soon after building and go into the “lego box” which causes frustration on both our parts as these kits are so expensive.

Great battle toy in the Star Wars lego series
This toy is fun when used in a battle. I to not reccomend this toy if you dont have a clone vehicle to battle against. What I do like about it is that it comes with a pack (four) of battle droids. Also it includes a spider droid. This I hated because it is extremely hard to position its legs to stand on the ground. The hail-fire droid on the other hand is capable of firing 8 “flick” missles. Do not expect this toy is a good missle launcher! It can only shoot them 4-6 inches which is not a lot. Do not buy this toy if you expect to let it sit and look at it every once in a while. Buy it if you love to battle star wars vehicles and characters.

A Good Excuse to Step it up
Now i know that the return of Lucas to the big screen this summer has a lot of people in a pinch, mostly about how it’s an excuse for him to make more money and such (well it is…but hey, if it’s good then who cares)
that being said, the upcoming clone wars was a perfect excuse to rerelease these two sets (the other being the republic gunship)
that being said
this thing is great, leaps and bounds above it’s predecessor
the legs are actually prevented from falling like they did in the original, and they are slightly more accurate to the movie (just for those of us who are OCD about detail)
the cockpit still doesn’t hold two clones, but they borrowed a little from the old Sith infiltrator and now the hatch opens and the seat the clone sits on slides out
both types of clones (the episode III and the new ones that come with it) can fit easily inside the compartement, but the hatch hinge is tough enough not to have things go falling out
in addition, this set has really stepped up the carrying capacity
while officially it can seat only eight people (one guy on the big gun, one pilot, two in the foreward compartment under the big gun and four in the aft) as well as store up to four extra guns, i’ve found that there is standing room for up to an additional seven minigigures, as well as two more sitting ones in the aft section, directly above either rear leg
in addition, this set is easily costomised, it works off a large H frame, with a center platform that runs the length of the vehicle and two smaller beams that jut out, allowing the armor plating (and any other armor plating desired) to be attatched
lastly, this thing is incredably spacious, with double roof hatches, where both rooves (or ceilings or whatever you want to call them) actually pivot up, allowing easy access by small hands (or long fingers) into either personell section
(also on an obvious side note, the four foreward facing swivel guns and the big cannon return, in addition to two more rear swivel cannons like in the movie)
now the unfortunates
first of all, the very design scheme that prevents the AT-TE from crashing under it’s own weight also makes making it walk impossible
the best you can do on a constant basis is swivel the central legs back and forth
that beig said, the appearence of walking is still possible, but none of the foreward or rear legs will move any higher than shown on the box (or in the picture)
also, this thing comes with only six figures (which sounds like a lot till you break it down as follows)
1 Anakin
1 Ashoka (ani’s padawan)
1 Rotta (mini jabba the hut, utterly pointless)
1 clone trooper (come on!!! it’s a freakin troop carrier, it should have waaaay more!!!)
1 commander Rex (okay, he’s pretty awesome, but his add on kilt prevents him from sitting or moving his legs beyond a limited range)
1 battle droid (mounted on a STAP, so he has no other guns)
so basicly, unless you’ve got more clones (like me, YAY for those clone trooper booster pack thingies) you’re gonna have a big empty shell running around (well, not so much considering it can’t actually walk…)
in addition, the entire core of the AT-TE is composed of this weird mechanism that basicly is a bunch of rollers that can assist in lifting up some sort of grab on bar
while this could be potentially awesome with a properly modified Gunship (in case you wanna recreate scenes from Episode II) it is rather pointless otherwise
on a more positive note though, this vehicle is hollow
while this may make you say “What? how does that help?” those of us with imaginations will realize that this means you can stand clone troopers all over the place (i know i already mentioned that) but there’s another thing
the only part the armor covers is the top and sides, this means you can have clones sort of rapell down from underneath the AT-TE, have them drop off like soldiers and star attacking right away (which just sounds awesome to me, but hey, maybe it’s just me)
all in all, this is a $60, that’s about the right price for all the stuff you get,
unfortunately oil has jacked up the price of legos double and it now costs $80
still, if you’re willing to spend the extra green, this thing is well worth it (if you’ve got clones and droids) so all in all a great addition to any battlefront (in joke) a child may make

My boys love Legos
My boys are 5 and 8. They both love Legos and Star Wars. They each have Anakin’s Fighter. They really enjoyed putting them together, with help. They play with them frequently. They love R2-D2!

Review
This is a decent lego model. It comes with some interesting peices, good instructions and detailed minifigures but, it has some flaws.

MODEL
The rebel scout speeder alone is actually not that bad. It has a sleek design and a blaster turrent that can spin side to side. Even though the model is easy to build some pieces can fall off easy mainly the side guns. Another disapointing thing about this model is that it comes with stickers which can fall off with wear.

INSTRUCTIONS/BOX
As I said earlier on its an easy build. The instructions and clear but its still easy to miss a piece or two. The box itself is nice looking. It shows the minifigures on its side and the lego set in action on the front the back also shows different movements of it, etc.

MINIFIGURES
This is the reason why most people buy this set. It comes with 4 rebel troopers first seen in episode four. They are detailed and have a new design other than their regular grey pants. Each rebel has a weapon to. This set includes 2 short rifles and 2 long ones.

Overall I would recommend it because of its pretty good price, good design and new figures.

Really good toy
This is my first Star Wars set. I love it. I love the minifigs.You get not only one or two lousy ones but 4 cool ones. This could be a very good gift for someone who loves Legos.

This set is awesome for those of us who dreamed of having the rebel Alliance and the Empire have battles on your desk or wherever you want to play with them. I’m glad lego released an affordable set with rebel troopers in it.

indiana jones lego
This toy was nice in that we got rid of the gun and played with the tent and other parts of the set. He does not actually play with it as the movie character but rahter as an “explorer dude”.

this set is fun even though the tree and the boat are not in the movie they are still fun.
the tree isn’t very strong and the net is hard to keep in the tree the duck/truck is sweet but only one lego guy fits in the front, it should come with the skull and Irina Spalko, but it is still a great set.
Great block selection and Minifigs!
River Chase is the first Indiana Jones set we purchased. The blocks are a good selection amongst the grey, brown, and green color groups and will be useful for other projects as well.

Durability is always a mixed back with Lego sets. This is no different. The car and raft are very durable. The tree stand is much less so. We’ve had it for several weeks and the car has been tossed in and out of the Lego bin, stepped on, dropped, and generally treated like you’d expect a 5-year old to treat it. It is still in one piece.

Overall, the set is great. 2 Russian soldiers, Indy (with his trademark whip), and Marion are great minifigs. The croc and snakes just add to the collection.

Star Wars Lego
My nephew enjoyed putting the star wars ship together and playing with it afterwards. He always liked to play with legos and stimulates his brain so we encourage him to play with it always!

Best as an supplementary set.
By all means a good set. I was happy to have bought it.

Those expecting a difficult or well-built set will be disappointed, simply because that is not what it is designed for. It is for those that want to “build their army” (as the box says) of stormtroopers. I did not own any stormtrooper minifigures or blasters, and this set comes with three. For the price of $10, I think it is worth it. You get an added shadowtrooper, as well (basically a re-skinned black stormtrooper from the Star Wars Expanded Universe), which looks pretty cool.

The vehicle itself is essentially a jumble of slope pieces with a glass canopy as the cockpit. Not hard to build, not all that exciting.

Overall, this set is great because it does what it says it does, it builds your minifig army. Otherwise, if you’re looking for a fun build, look for a bigger set.

Lego Star wars Armies
If you ever wanted to build a lego imperial army this is the set for you.. get about 3 of them and you have at least 9 Imperial storm troopers. (Note that this set only comes with 3 troopers as opposed to the Clone and rebel sets.)

Good fun.

my 6 year old son put everything together all by himself and plays with this all the time. he has fun and wants more

A perfect intro to Legos
I gave this to my son for his 7th birthday. I’d previously given him a couple of harder kits, and while he tried very hard to put those together by himself, he eventually became frustrated and needed help. He put this kit together completely by himself in less than an hour, and you could literally see the pride in his face. He immediately started begging for the matching Star Wars droid kit. Over a week later, he’s still playing with and rebuilding this set nearly every day.

35 Year Old Dad Having Great Fun!!!
My son just picked this Star Wars lego set up from his birthday. For 15 bucks at the local toy store, what a bargain. A few regular action figures would have cost the same, but with the lego set my 5 year old son learns to assemble things, gets a speeder and turret in addition to the Republic troopers–too cool! We’re having a great time.
